Goose: Living in Belgium is quite handy

There are not many good bands in Belgium, that's for sure. But Goose are worth listening to.
The bandy plays Prague's Roxy (March 2, 2013, tickets available now) and we chatted with them about what is it that makes them special.
Is it true you started out as a cover band? 
No we were never an AC/DC cover band… It’s true that our songs sounded a lot like them when we first started making music at the age of 16.
And what was it like to be in ads after releasing just one song as Goose?
Our music is often used on tv, for commercials, films or series. As long as it doesn’t kill the music, we feel it is just an other way to share your music with the world.
What is Goose live like?
Energy, energy, energy! We love to involve our audience in our live shows. We bring an awesome light show and try to create the best sounds to make you have the time of your life :)
Where are you living now, and how do you like your environment? Is Belgium a nice place to be?
We live and work in Kortrijk. It’s a city full of young energy, but there is also green environment to relax and get inspired.
Living in Belgium is quite handy to be honest. From where we live in Belgium we have really easy access to France, UK. We are influenced by a lot of different cultures and you can hear that in our music.
What do you like and dislike about being musicians?
The traveling is what I like best and at the same what we like less. We meet a lot of different people, which is very inspiring, but traveling can be a real waste of time if you have to wait on a plane for hours …

iPhone.
Any advice for young musicians/artists?
Be creative, be bold, be arrogant (sometimes) and believe in yourself.
What's in store for 2013?
A lot of touring, releasing new remixes by Moonlight Matters and The Living Islands, Distribute our very own GOOSE Magazine and eat well in nice restaurants!
