Fotopublikace The Moment after the Show přináší fotky kapel těsně po koncertech. Zpocené, živočišné a živé.

Švýcarská knížka The Moment after the Show je ojedinělá a v jednoduchosti svého nápadu skvělá.
Představuje fotky kapel, zejména frontmanů (a frontwomen) těsně poté, co slezou s koncertního pódia.
Polosvlečeného Iggyho Popa, vyzývavou Juliette Lewis, dále třeba Muse, Metallicu, Placebo, Sonic Youth, Kyuss, Marka Lanegana nebo The Young Gods.

ENGLISH INFO:
«You made me look good», said mustachioed womanizer Jesse “The Devil” Hughes merrily when he looked at the photos of him and his band Eagles of Death Metal.
Juliette Lewis is equally stoked by the idea of having musicians’ pictures taken right after the show: «That’s the only way to show how we really are» – sweaty, exhausted, but happy.
Since 2005, photographer Matthias Willi and journalist Olivier Joliat managed to inspire about 100 bands to take part in their project. Now, they present their book: «The Moment After the Show».
Next to the photos, the artists get their say on the book’s 144 pages.
Furthermore, the authors describe how they managed to get to do these intimate shots, how the shootings were done, and they also have some really funny experiences to share in these making-of reports.
Usually, one doesn’t get to see stars as authentic and emotional as in «The Moment After the Show».
No matter if Metallica have just played in front of 80’000 people or if Navel did the same in front of 50: By the sweat of their brows, everyone is the same.
The artists liked the idea – contrary to most band managers who did not see the point in having “unflattering” pictures taken of their protégés.
But once the musicians were convinced, even the most obstinate donkeys became tame, and we got backstage.
For the set-up we went with the old rock’n’roll wisdom “keep it simple” – a camera and a flash. This allowed us to be flexible with location choices, get close to the stage, and be ready at the drop of a hat. The photoshoots themselves were even quicker: one photo of Evan Dando from the Lemonheads, “thirty fuckin’ seconds” for Iggy Pop. There was no point in shooting much longer – the stars would begin to pose as usual.
We wanted them raw and fresh from the stage. We wanted “The Moment After the Show”.
