Are dreams so real to you they keep you from your sleep?
Norway's greatest rock singer enters the 2014 music season with something of a musical mystic experience. «Inner Vision», a sample from Sivert Høyem´s forthcoming album, is an epic ballad, or perhaps «chanson» is the better word. A cabaret atmosphere is set using lyrical piano, soaring organ, a bass line bristling with attitude, and Sivert's possibly best vocal performance ever. His dramatic delivery is reminiscent of Jacques Brel and Nick Cave, trubadours of torment and pathos.
 
The song is produced and mixed by two Swedish masters of modern pop and rock recording, Ulf Rockis Ivarsson (Thåström) and Michael Ilbert (The Cardigans/The Hives), the latter working in the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin. Retracing his European roots is very much what Sivert Høyem is about in 2014.
