Fashion and Style Q+A: Giantree, a new band from Austria (see them live on May 12th for free)

Giantree is a relatively new musical group from Austria. They will be playing on FREE MONDAYS at Roxy - 12/5/2014. Here are their answers to our usual Q:
 
Definition of Fashion and definition of Style?
For our band fashion is one of many ways to show ourselves as a union. Our favourite clothes and accessoires are the ones with a story behind. Once our bass player found a hat in our hotelroom. Since then she wouldn’t go on stage without it for one year. Another fun part about fashion on stageis to create your own character in combination with the message you try to transport. Come and have a look what we want to tell you about the recent album.
 
What do you like most about your job?
Although we all have more than one job, the most important one is making music. Who wouldn’t like to turn a hobby into a career. We are lucky to have five band members with different talents and each one has his or her own favourite part within the band. But what we all like is to give our fans a glimpse at our souls by playing our songs live.
 
How do you recharge your batteries?
On tour wetry to catch a bite of all the typical meals of the cities we travel. On the road we recharge our batteries with a lot of trans fats.
 
What makes you happy?
The song by Pharrell Williams – Happy ;-).
 
Preventing stereotypes?
If you’re open minded and like to try new things many great opportunities will appear on their own. The good thing about being in a band is to work on so many different forms of art. We love to write songs, but also to make music videos and album artwork. On tour we see so many different cities and meet new fantastic and inspiring people.
