Dark Munich Festival 2014: Latex, Goth & Lederhosen

Gothic Party in Munich - visit the Bavarian capital in latex and "Lederhosen"!

Black appears to suit the Bavarian capital Munich well - at least once a year in April - as a

few thousand party people agree on that fact alone since 2012. For the third time the Dark

Forces are taking possession of the otherwise colourful metropolis:

From 25th to 27th of April 2014 the DARK FESTIVAL MUNICH invites you to a party of

superlatives. The biggest Goth festival in southern Germany offers a high class star cast of

dark scene bands. Like FRONT 242, APOPTYGMA BERZERK, MONO INC., PSYCLON NINE, DE

/ VISION, THE 69 EYES and many more.

The absolute highlight will be the gig of ALIEN SEX FIEND, one of the founding fathers of

the Gothic scene. Their sinister sound, which was initially influenced by punk, in the late

1970’s laid the foundation for a new sub and youth culture.

After two successful festivals in 2012 and 2013, the DMF organizers will really be excelling

themselves in 2014: 54 bands in 3 days will make the "Optimolwerke" at Munich Ostbahnhof.

We have had brilliant feed back regarding the last two years. This has motivated us to really

go wild this year and move on to do even better!-bigger!-darker" & most phenomenal event,

the organizers’ motto for the DMF 2014.

The DMF wants to take the chance of connecting tradition and modernity in the form of

already established bands and newcomers. Friends of the dark and "darkened" music scene

will be given the opportunity to experience international bands that otherwise rarely tour in

Germany or have never even had been given the option to perform in Munich at all. Apart

from excellent sound, the visitors can also look forward to major stage shows that will rock

the house.

Beyond the stage areas the DMF 2014 has a lot to offer, too. The spacious grounds of the

"Optimolwerke" will turn into a Gothic-market and invite you for a shopping tour. A variety of

snacks and drinks at fair prices will be available for all guest's

The DMF welcomes not only all “veterans” of the dark scene, but also invites curious Gothic

newcomers to their first festival. So get into your boots, dress up, lace up and let's celebrate.
