What do you do when you have a bad day? Are you practicing yoga also alone?
I'm pretty excited most days. If I'm feeling stressed or tired I try to make time to take care of myself even more with down time and an easy going practice either at home, in the hotel, or at Strala.
Is yoga giving you energy or is it rather a means to calm down?
Both. For me it's an effective tool for balance and to connect.
Do you recommend yoga exercises for children? Is so, what age is good to start with yoga?
Kids are natural connectors. We have kids of all ages at Strala. If the child is interested in moving in a regular class, they come with their parents and enjoy! We have some workshops as well for kids in grade school.
You work with your husband. What are the benefits? Are there any disadvantages?
Finding the right fit with roles is everything for us. We took a break from working together for a while so I could find the right fit for him in Strala. Since it's my company, it's important he has a role he enjoys and can thrive in, as well as everyone who is working with Strala. His work is wide ranging including teaching, support, and helping with operations.
Can you in moments of leisure to stop thinking about work or do you still talk about it with your husband?
I love unplugging, going for walks, and on trips where I take a mental break from the expansion of Strala, which my mind is usually on. When I take a break I usually find a great idea when I'm back.
Do you know the feeling of spring fatigue? Or yoga helps you to overcome it?
My schedule is always full so it's important I schedule down time and breaks. Regular practice helps as well as daily meditation and eating well.
What would you do if you would be unable to exercise yoga for any reason? Can you imagine?
I can't imagine actually. Yoga for me can look any way and isn't about the poses. As long as I can breathe, I can practice.
What do you need in your life to make you feel really happy?
Great people, nature, and living from intention of helping others.
