Fringe Festival Praha 'The famous Edinburgh Festival's naughty grandchild' (Prague Post 2009) has welcomed over 600 companies and 1000s of theatre goers to the heart of the city from all over the world since its inception in 2001. Rightly known for its fun, friendly, intimate atmosphere embraced by audiences and performers alike this boutique event - 9 evenings of comedy, theatre and music in unique venues throughout beautiful Malá Strana - offers something to suit every taste.
We are an international festival based in the Czech capital, presenting shows from all over the world (previously UK, Japan, Norway, USA, Holland, France, Serbia, Ireland, India, Canada and Italy as well as Czech Republic); most are very visual and last for 45-60 minutes. This means you can see several shows over the course of an evening, and then join us after the shows for merry making into the early hours with your days being free to enjoy the city. We are currently in the process of planning for the 11th festival in 2012 and would love you to join us!

The application window for Fringe 2012 is now open and will close on October 8th 2011 - please read the application and technical information carefully before submitting your on-line application so you are fully au fait with how the event operates and whether it will suit your company. Whilst we are not a juried festival, we do have a limited number of theatres and performance slots available and want to create as varied and exciting a festival as possible. This means we make our programming decisions based on the strength of the initial information you send us so please make sure you have looked at the available performance spaces to gauge what will suit your technical and budget requirements, be specific with your availability and generally fill in as much information as you can at this stage about your performance.
