Your definition of fashion and style?
I've always found the concept of fashion annoying, while fashion in ceramics is not as capricious as in the clothing industry. I imagine some potters probably have room for fashion and if that means they actually still like what they do, I see nothing wrong with it. I'd find it distracting myself as I still enjoy the freedom of strictly following my own taste, or style, if you like. 
 
 What do you like about your work?
Just about everything. I like that I can také it seriously. I design and produce very practical objects and I don't hurt anybody. That itself is plenty, I think. I really enjoy the fluidity of my work, the fact that experimenting is part of it. It is never boring and often rather exciting. Endless searching for perfection which as we know can never be achieved. I'm fine with it.

How do you recharge your batteries?
Seriously? Sleeping. I have been sleep deprived for years (like most parents of young children) so any day after a good night sleep is special and very productive. My work is very physically demanding so at least I don't have to waste any time in gyms later. I am very grateful for that. 

What always makes you feel good?
After each firing I bring my pots home, unload them on our kitchen table and the discussion about who likes what begins. I am nervous each time, even though the young ones are only 5 and 7. My husband and children are proud of me and that is not just good, that is awesome.

Your tip for what to do against the grey?
Take the courage and try to do something you've always thought others should do.
