N.O.H.A.: face the grey and smash it to the floor!

foto archiv kapely

N.O.H.A. have a new album out soon. We interviewed Minerva, the singer, about the news in the band(s).

There have been some changes to the line-up of the band, what happened? There are two n.o.h.a.s now.

Yes, there are currently two N.O.H.A. We separated from sax player Philip Sebanek for some musical reasons. He founded a new project called N.O.H.A. “Circus Underground”.

But, of course, we go on with being N.O.H.A. “Noise Of Human Art” - loaded with lots of creative urge energy and delight.

Sometimes some changes in the line up are really refreshing, bring new ideas and challenges and we are really keen on creating hot new stuff and make our audience happy with the well known hits like “Tu Café”, too.

It seems, that in the future our beats will get stronger, more intensive and Minervas awesome charismatic voice will hover perfectly over the sizzling hot stream of lava!

Your new album is called Die in the Process. What is the title refering to and how do you like the sound of the record?

“Die In The Process” has a lot of different meanings. It can be the overspending while doing things you love, or it can be a new start, as “dying” is always the birth of something new. But as always: it’s up to the listener.  So?

How did you like the may gigs? Any upcoming shows in the next weeks?

The gigs in May have been beautiful. We have played several shows in Germany and we have also been in Thessaloniki and Athens in Greece and the people are amazing party people, too 

Now we are looking forward to play this month in Paris and Millau.

You can find further information on our new homepage: www.nohamusic.com

We also started with the shooting of a new video for one of the songs on our album “Die In The Process” and therefore Minerva and Jochen Eickenberg went to Prague and spend some nice and sunny days filming.

How would you describe your music to people who have not heard it yet?

Groovy clubmusic created with lots of real instruments, drum´n bass with song-structures, breakbeats flirting with worldmusic here and a big spoon of hypnotic electricity there.

How did your find your style?

It was a natural process. Influences from different characters, different countries,  different backgrounds and different languages came together – that’s it!

What is your most beloved instrument?

Drum and Bass :)

What are you doing when you are not making music?

Diving through our lifes ;-)

Anything else we should know?

YES!!! You should know, that our new CD "Die In The Process" will be officially available soon, but you can order it now exclusively on: www.nohamusic.com.

What are you doing against the grey?

We face it, take it, shake it and smash it to the floor ;-)
